The documentary “Binke” (The Base) aims to depict a slice of contemporary political history in Sanandaj-Kurdistan. Binke focuses on pivotal moments, including the release of political prisoners during the 1979 revolution, the emergence of self-governance in Rojhelat, the establishment of Binkes and city council elections, the Islamic Republic of Iran’s attack on Kurdistan, and Jina’s 2022 uprising to reclaim the public sovereignty.
